Bone Broth Tomatillo Salsa

This authentic tomatillo salsa recipe is delicious and tangy that brings a depth of flavor to so many dishes, along with added nutrients from our bone broth. You can enjoy this salsa with tortilla chips, chicken, tacos, or burritos, the options are endless! This recipe was created by our friend, Melissa over at Melissa’s Healthy Kitchen!

INGREDIENTS

  • 10-12 tomatillos
  • 1 jalapeno deseeded
  • 1/2 yellow onion
  • 4-6 garlic cloves
  • 2 Tbsp avocado oil
  • Sea salt and pepper to taste
  • Handful of cilantro
  • 1/4-1/2 cup Bonafide Provisions Chicken Bone Broth

DIRECTIONS

  1. Add tomatillos, roughly chopped onions, whole garlic cloves, roughly chopped jalapeño, avocado oil, salt and pepper to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper
  2. Bake 400 F for 20-25 minutes, then put on broil to get a char
  3. Carefully transfer to a blender along with cilantro and blend
  4. Add in the bone broth to thin out the salsa to desired consistency
